Towards a Brighter Future: TBS Energi Utama and ABN's Scholarship Program in East Kalimantan

As part of its journey towards fulfilling the commitment of 'Towards a Better Society 2030' (TBS2030), TBS Energi Utama, in conjunction with its subsidiary PT Adimitra Baratama Nusantara (ABN), has launched a pivotal academic scholarship program at the start of 2024. The program, a cornerstone of the Community Empowerment and Development Program in Education, has awarded scholarships to 42 academically distinguished students from elementary to junior high schools in Sangasanga, Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan.

Embodying the theme "Excellence From the Start," the scholarship initiative is a testament to PT Adimitra Baratama Nusantara's dedication to fostering educational excellence, aligning with the broader TBS2030 commitment of nurturing a better society through impactful educational support.

The scholarship event saw the participation of Bambang Takariyanto, External Relations Manager of PT ABN, who reinforced the message, "Every student in Sangasanga possesses the potential to achieve greatness. We are committed to fostering this potential in line with our TBS2030 objectives."

The program was warmly received by the educational community, with Mr. Saat S.Pd., M.Pd., Principal of SMP N 1 Sangasanga, extending heartfelt thanks to PT Adimitra Baratama Nusantara for its significant contribution to the region’s educational landscape. A similar appreciation was echoed by the Principals of SMP N 3 and SMP N 2 Sangasanga, Mr. Drs. Misrun M.Pd.

In partnership with Bank BRI unit Sangasanga, this scholarship scheme also promotes financial literacy among students through the provision of Simple Savings (Student Savings) accounts. Mr. Agung, Head of BRI Sangasanga Unit, expressed, "We believe that this financial aspect of the scholarship will encourage students to develop savings habits, complementing their academic growth."

Sugeng Rahayu, Superintendent of PPM at PT ABN, concluded, "This scholarship program is a key step in our TBS2030 journey, aiming to inspire broader participation in educational advancement and regional development. By uniting efforts between educational bodies, businesses, and the government, we are setting the stage for a sustainable and brighter future for the generations to come in Sangasanga."
